For loose leaf tea, you should add approximately 1 tsp tea leaves per cup of water. You can either add the leaves to an infuser and place the infuser in the water, or you can add the tea leaves directly to the water and strain them out when the tea is ready. Steeping time and temperature varies for black, green, and herbal teas. Each tea has steeping instructions listed on the website and on our packaging.
You can add milk to most of our teas. However, you should avoid adding milk to teas containing hibiscus flowers or citrus, as these will curdle the milk. We recommend avoiding milk in the following teas:
All black, green, white, oolong, and pu-erh tea contains some fluoride. However, the amount of fluoride present in tea is generally not a safety concern. If you suffer from a pre-existing medical condition and are concerned about whether it is safe for you to drink tea, please consult your doctor.
All black, green, white, oolong, pu-erh, and mate tea contains some caffeine. We include the caffeine content of each of our teas (from Low to High) on our packaging. If you prefer not to consume caffeine, please view our Caffeine Free Collection.
We recommend consuming our tea within 2 years of purchasing it. We include Best By dates on all of our packaging for your reference. Your tea will not spoil after 2 years, but the quality of the tea will start to degrade.
Generally, you will receive your tea within 7 days after you place your order. Unfortunately, USPS sometimes experiences delays. We are not able to offer refunds to compensate for USPS shipping delays.
