Hojicha Roasted Green Tea
Hojicha means "roasted tea" in Japanese, and this is indeed what sets Hojicha Green Tea apart from other Japanese green teas. It steeps to a beautiful caramel cup with a toasty, nutty flavor.
Origin: Japan (Kagoshima Prefecture).
- Heat 8 oz. cold water to about 180 degrees Fahrenheit (hot, but not boiling - you should see small bubbles rising to the surface if heating in a pan).
- Remove from heat and add 1 tsp tea leaves.
- Let set for 1-3 minutes.
- Strain and serve.
