A Tea Sommelier's Tasting Notes
Dry leaf: I liked the concept of Silver Needles in the tea; clever concept for a ghost tea! It had a pleasing aroma of vanilla, and a soft, very slight floral aroma.
Infused leaf: The pleasing aroma reminded me of warm burnt sugar or brown sugar, and even chocolate chip cookie dough (minus the chocolate) which I love to eat! The calandra and rooibos added a pretty brown and yellow color interest.
Liquor/mouth feel: There was a smooth mouth feel and a warm vanilla taste and then wham! A little bit of a bite sneaks up on you just like Casper the ghost would probably do! Ha, ha, ha!
Hot: Smooth mouth feel and then a bite at the finish.
Cold: Smooth, medium mouth feel, vanilla taste is more pronounced when cold.
