A Tea Sommelier's Tasting Notes
Dry leaf: It was a pretty blend with the green leaf bits and the ginger bits and lemon grass. The aroma was fresh, vegetal, clean with a hint of minty spice.
Infused leaf: Minty and ginger fresh aroma with a hint of butter! Reminds me of fresh cream and mint.....almost like vanilla mint ice cream! Yum, yum!
Liquor/mouth feel: Medium mouth feel, zippy and tingly on the tongue, just enough mint and ginger to make the green tea invigorating and a bit crisp to the taste.
Hot: A fair amount of umami, and a nice medium, smooth mouth feel. Minty fresh aroma and taste.
Cold: There was a vegetal, slightly spinach aroma, the mint was more pronounced in the cold liquor, and the mouth feel was more creamy. The leaves smelled fresh and clean when they cooled down.
